Affair of Thoughts! Faulty Perceptions of Legends

The human species has produced brilliant minds which changed the whole world and mankind. Such as Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Galileo, etc. But is it true that they were always right?  Even the most brilliant minds can sometimes get it very, very wrong. I am sure that you won’t believe how wrong the perceptions of these legends were once.

1. Lord Kelvin

William Thomson, 1st Baron Kelvin OM, GCVO, PC, FRS, FRSE is known for his famous Thomson Effect. We all respect his contribution to mankind but he got something very, very wrong.

4. Western Union, What Were You Thinking?

This was an internal memo of the Western Union in 1876. I am sure they lacked foresightedness.

5. Warner Bros

We all know what they do. But you won’t believe how wrong they were about their own profession only.

6. Bill Gates

I think the name is enough. No need to introduce Bill Gates. But how can he get it so wrong?

7. New York Times

I think ‘New York Times’ lacked the basic knowledge ladled out daily in high school – that is to dream and dream big.

8. IBM

The IBM Chairman, 1943 would have been fired soon after this statement.

9. DEC – Digital Equipment Corporation

One of the great computer manufacturers from 1950s to 1990s. You were wrong.  There are a thousand reasons to have a computer at home.
